Cursor

Cursor reads MCP servers from .cursor/mcp.json in your project, or from ~/.cursor/mcp.json for every project.

Install prompt

Add Toolport to this workspace’s .cursor/mcp.json as a server named toolport that runs npx -y @toolport/mcp. Remind me to enable it under Settings → MCP, then ask for my issue tracker token.

Paste it into Cursor’s agent

Or set it up yourself

.cursor/mcp.json

{
  "mcpServers": {
    "toolport": {
      "command": "npx",
      "args": ["-y", "@toolport/mcp"]
    }
  }
}

Steps

  1. Create .cursor/mcp.json in your project root, or paste the install prompt into Cursor’s agent.

  2. Add the toolport entry below and save the file.

  3. Open Settings → MCP and switch Toolport on.

  4. Start a new agent chat and ask it to find open bugs.

Check it worked

Settings → MCP shows a green dot next to toolport
